What a busy week we have had! Some of the students were on Safety Patrol for the first time. Sister Marie worked with both 5th grade classes to help them become altar servers. We appreciate her help in doing this. The students seem very excited!

Religion: Chapter 2 - "The Word of God" Chapter 2 test on Friday, August 31
Social Studies: Continue textbook overview resources and environment. Review Test on overview on Thursday, August 30th
Science: Observing growth of fungi. How are plants and animals classified?
We have gone to the library to check out books. Happy reading to all! Students used an internet site to find some facts about the day they were born. They enjoyed learning about the prices of various items, like a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk, as well as a gallon of gasoline. They also learned about toys, hit songs, and books that were popular.
Reading: Story "Sees Behind Trees" Assessment on Friday, August 31 English: Simple and complete subjects; Simple and complete predicates
Math: Compare, order, and round whole numbers. Place value through thousandths. Problem Solving. Compare order and round decimals.
Other: Book orders are due on September 12. Please sign your child's agenda each night.
